Yankee Hood

Description of Yankee Hood (Yankee Hood Machine and Ventilation System):
Our Yankee hood is typically designed to work together with special paper making machine in paper mills, or in conjunction of high-speed paper machines for thin paper sheets in paper industry. Its specially designed air blowing mouth has high forming precision, thereby ensuring even air blowing. Its heating media can be steam, electricity, oil, and gases, and it is equipped with high-quality external thermal cycling system.

Our Yankee hood consists of two different parts separately located at its dry and wet ends. The temperature of impact air is 145℃, and the velocity of the air is 60m/s. The external hood plate is made of stainless steel and its thickness is about 1.5mm. The wrap angle of the four corners of the Yankee hood is also made of stainless steel and its thickness is 2mm. The internal hood plate is made of 2mm Corten A. The air pipe is made of 3mm CortenA; the nozzles are made of 6mm stainless steel; and the framework is made by welding rectangular steel tubes. After the hood is assembled, a special assembly tool will be employed to ensure that the arc line formed by nozzles stays in a certain distance from the dryer surface. The whole hood can be opened and closed by the cylinder with the help of various devices, such as supports, slide rails and pulleys. As a result of that, the sheet threading and hood cleaning are more easily implemented. Manual valve is employed to compress air, and control panels for cylinders and metallic pipes are also available.

The whole Yankee hood is supported by a rectangular steel framework, and the framework is covered by a layer of 1.5mm stainless steel. And inspection door is designed for the hood to make its cleaning and examination easier. Both its air inlet and outlet are at the drive side, and they are connected with flexible joints, thereby making it easier to open the hood.
